Be Heard on the Noise Review Board

The Noise Review Board is Seeking a New Member!

Noise Review Board Responsibilities

The Noise Review Board works to improve neighborhood harmony by striking a balance between sound-generating activities and the desire for livable communities. As a board member your responsibilities include:

Reviewing event and construction noise variance applications that may impact a lot of people or take place over a significant time;

Working with the Noise Program to advise and make recommendations to the Portland City Council on sound-related code and policy decisions; and

Developing long‑term objectives for reducing sound levels in the community and developing a means for implementation.

Noise Review Board members are volunteers and serve three-year terms. The Noise Review Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.
