7/21 Multnomah Neighborhood Garage Sale Day
All are invited to shop and explore at over 40 garage sales in the Multnomah Neighborhood Sunday, July 21st where neighbors are coordinating to host their own sales on the same day. Give trinkets a new home, find some funky home decor and get to know your neighbors! Sales are individually hosted. Print our event map and use it to plan your shopping route (attached). Interested in connecting with other planners of community events such as Block Parties and Neighborhood Garage Sale days? block-party@mnapdx.org is an email google group of block party/community event planners from neighborhoods all around Portland, hosted by Multnomah Neighborhood Association Community Events Committee.
The goal of the group is to promote the building of community through more events by providing a space for planners to ask questions, exchange ideas, and share resources with each other so that no one is left to reinvent the wheel with these ideas on their own. Later in summer we plan to focus on the use of free PBOT Block Party permits by neighbors to create their own “car free” trick or treating on Halloween (see our Halloween Guide).
