SWHRL Donation Drive 1/22-25

Donate Your Excess Clothes, Linens and Hygiene Products to Those Who Desperately Need Them

SWHRL is collecting items in support of Transition Projects, an organization helping those on their journey from homelessness to housing and opening their pathways to employment, which we featured in our September panel on “Actions to End Homelessness.”

What we are collecting: New or gently used items, free of stains, rips, pet hair, and odors:

  • Winter clothing and underwear: washed, folded and ready to be worn
  • Coats, hats, gloves, belts, shoes, and hand-warmers
  • Blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags
  • Unused hygiene products (deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, feminine products)
  • See https://www.tprojects.org/donate/donate-items for a detailed list.

How to donate: Drop off your items at our volunteers’ homes on the days listed below. (For COVID protection, please leave your items at the door. Donation receipts will be provided if you include your email. )

  • January 22-23, Melanie, 1238 SW Cardinell Way
  • January 24-25, Nancy, 2020 SW Edgewood Rd

You can also bring your items directly to Transition Projects at 665 NW Hoyt any day or time. Or, if you prefer to contribute online, you can purchase direct from TP’s wish list at http://bit.ly/neighborneeds

We hope you will give what you can to help those who are in desperate need.
