Always run generators outdoors to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.  Fill up your car’s gas tank, park in a garage if possible.  Cover windows with hurricane shutters of plywood.  Secure outdoors objects or bring them inside. Keep all trees and shrubs well-trimmed.
